Cowboy Capital - Bandera, Texas.

Bandera, Texas is known as the "Cowboy Capital of the World" due to its long history of cattle ranching and rodeo culture. It has been a popular tourist destination and is known for keeping its old western charm and natural beauty that many small towns eventually fade from. Bandera is located in what is known as the "Hill country" region of Texas. It is referred to the Hill Country for its rolling hills and picturesque landscape. As the origin of the Great Western Cattle Trail, Bandera earned its cowboy identity. More than 2,000 miles of North American prairies were traveled by its network of paths. These trails were once recognized as the longest cattle drive in the world and it successfully spread the reputation of the Texas Longhorn.

Bandera is home to several rodeos and cowboy events throughout the year most of them featured at Mansfield Park Rodeo Arena. The long list of events shows the celebrated western history of this town. The long list of events include: https://www.banderacowboycapital.com/events
